Economy handle G3/8LHa SA PZ
1. Function
The cylinder valve is opened. Propane flows with the cylinder pressure to the regulator with integrated hose rupture protection. The regulator reduces the pressure to the working pressure (1.5, 2.5 or 4bar). The hose rupture safety device stops the gas flow if the hose is damaged. The gas flows via the propane hose to the economy handle and, with the valve (2) open, to the burner insert (LS insert, turbo insert or hot air insert). The gas is ignited in the respective burner insert by pressing the ignition lever (8). When the ignition lever is released, the gas flow is interrupted.
2. Start-up
Screw regulator with integrated hose rupture safety device (RS) or, for operation below ground level, regulator with integrated hose rupture safety device and leakage test (RDS) to the cylinder valve. Connect the output of the RS/RDS and the input of the economy handle with a propane hose (pressure class 30, 4x4).
2.1 Burner insert
Select the correct torch insert depending on the type of work to be carried out.
- Insert the torch insert into the plug connection (6).
- Note:The ignition contact pin must be inserted into the opening provided on the insulating washer at the same time. Then engage by applying pressure.
The burner inserts can be rotated 360° when inserted, making them easier to work with.
Exception:
When changing the working position, unlock the insert and turn it to the desired position and re-engage.
The LS 30 and HABE 30 burner inserts have a lock (knurl) which prevents the insert from twisting unintentionally during work.
2.2 Adjustment and ignition
- Open cylinder valve
- Press start button on RS or RDS
- Open regulating valve (2)
- Press ignition lever (8)(For initial connection, it may be necessary to ignite several times).
- For continuous operation, press in the locking device (3).
- Note:Burner inserts with a flame length > 100 mm must not be placed in continuous operation position
- Release the locking device by pressing the ignition lever.
2.3 Changing the burner inserts
The burner inserts are unlockedby pressing the locking button (7) , and the gas supply is shut off at the same time.

5. Maintenance
The economy handle with piezo ignition is designed in such a way that no hazards arise for the user when used as intended. It must be handled with care. In the event of longer interruptions to work, the economy handle must be kept protected from dust and moisture. The filter screw screwed in on the inlet side must be checked for dirt.
